What you need to know
- 88 steps to the top from floor 6E; the lifts are kept for people with reduced mobility and adults with strollers
- Entry in 30-minute slots, and under-18s must come with an adult, so book a time online on busy weekends
- Free guided tours in Spanish on Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30am and Wednesday and Friday at 5pm, for up to 9 people, booked at info@centrocentro.org
About
An observation deck at the top of the main tower of the Palacio de Cibeles, the city hall. The 360-degree view takes in Gran Vía, Calle de Alcalá, the Castellana and El Retiro, and maps on the deck help kids name the buildings they spot.
A lift goes up to floor 6E, then a staircase of 88 steps climbs the rest of the way.
