Will my 4-year-old sit through 45 minutes of this?

It depends on the kid. There are no characters or plot, just objects, sounds and light, so it works best for children who enjoy quiet, curious activities. If yours gets restless at concerts, it may be a stretch.

Is there somewhere to eat nearby?

Lavapiés has plenty of casual bars and cafes around the theater, so it is easy to grab a quick bite with kids before or after.

Object and visual theater with sound design

Original title

Biblioteca de ruidos y sonidos

What you need to know

Everyday objects as instruments: pots, stones and coffee makers each have their own sound
No plot to follow, so it suits kids who like watching and listening more than stories
Watch the theater's page for returned tickets, the only way in now for either day

About

Two artists build a wooden, octagon-shaped library where every object has its own voice. Stones, flowerpots, ropes, coffee makers and cash registers are collected, played and sorted by sound. It is object and visual theater with no story to follow, made for kids who like listening, watching and wondering how things work.
