Which walks suit younger kids?

Look for the ones marked low difficulty. The Puente de Navalacarreta walk, for example, is 7 km and about 3 to 3.5 hours along the Eresma river, pitched at families. Longer routes run 10 km and around 4 hours.

On the national parks booking site (Central de Reservas de Parques Nacionales). Each listing gives the date, meeting point, distance and difficulty.

About

Guided walks on the Segovia side of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, around the pine forests and rivers of Valsaín. Saturday walks go with a nature guide, and some Sundays bring themed outings led by specialists, from old drove roads to river wildlife. Groups are small. Routes range from easy riverside strolls to longer hikes, so pick by distance and difficulty.
