Eight centuries of Spanish seafaring fill the galleries inside the Navy headquarters: rooms of detailed ship models from galleons to steamships, naval weapons, navigation instruments and explorers' maps. The star piece is Juan de la Cosa's chart from 1500, the oldest surviving map to show the Americas. Storytelling sessions, theatrical tours with costumed historical figures and ship-model workshops run for families through the year.
