Can we get there without a car?

Yes. Cercanías line C8 runs hourly from Madrid to Cercedilla, and bus 684 runs from Moncloa to Cercedilla station. From the station it is about a 45-minute walk up to the park, or a taxi from the rank there.

What should kids wear, and does it close in bad weather?

Comfortable clothes and sneakers, with warm layers in the cooler months. Gloves are optional: bring fingerless cycling gloves or buy a pair at the park. The park closes only in extreme wind, rain or other conditions that make it unsafe. Otherwise the circuits stay open.

Kids 6+ (1.15 to 1.34m) pay €20, juniors under 16 (1.35m+) pay €23, and adults pay €25. Prices are €1 more on July and August weekends and holidays. Each person gets €2 off when 4+ family members climb. Non-climbing companions pay €1.

What you need to know

Height decides the circuits: kids must be 6 and 1.15m to climb; under 1.35m they get Kids and Explorador (from 1.25m), Aventura and Canopy need 1.45m, and X-Trem is 18+
Three hours per ticket, starting with a training course everyone does first; each circuit takes 30 to 45 minutes and you can repeat them

Aventura Amazonia Cercedilla is one of Europe's biggest treetop adventure parks, in the pine woods of the Fuenfría valley in the Sierra de Guadarrama. Kids clip into a harness, do a short training course, then cross rope bridges and fly down zip lines. Seven circuits run from Kids and Explorador up to X-Trem, with 114 challenges and 33 zip lines; Canopy is all zip lines, over 470 meters.
