What you need to know
Run by the regional government, with themed stays of about ten days that have cost far less than private sleepaway camps.
About
The Comunidad de Madrid's own sleepaway camps for teenagers, held mostly at regional youth hostels in the mountains north and west of Madrid, plus a few elsewhere in Spain. Themes range from multi-adventure and canoeing to film, hip hop, musical theater, circus and phone-free 'Modo Avión' stays. Places go by lottery, and each teen can take only one camp per summer.
