What you need to know
One of the biggest district Christmas camps in Madrid, with 500 places across five schools and long days built around working parents.
- Free in 2025-26, with breakfast and lunch included
- All days or none: in 2025-26 kids had to attend the full 10-day period, and unexcused absences could cost a place in district camps for three years
- Who gets in: kids from age 3 (second cycle of infant school) to 6th grade, at school or living in Villaverde, with working parents; a lottery decides if it fills, and 20% of places are kept for vulnerable families
About
A city-run day camp for the Christmas school break, held in five public schools across Villaverde. Each edition has a theme: the last one sent kids around the continents through painting, mask-making, origami, street art and dances like the Maori haka, with big group games and a final-day outing. Breakfast and lunch are included. It suits working families who live in the district or have kids at school there.
